I am a lazy spirit.
I float through purple crowds,
passing unnoticed.

I had succumbed and stiffened,
Passing into death
Like a wild flower
Wilting into dusty nothingness.
I faded away
To another realm of reality,
Of being.

My fingers reach feebly
To touch another,
To feel another soul
As lost as I am;
I grasp nothing but air
And the belief I am insignificant.

I overdosed on the pleasure
Of being alone.
I am forgotten, and thinned out
I have become
Nothing more
Than a ghost of long gone humanity.

I am a lazy spirit
My voice echoes in the dark halls
Of an empty crooked house
I cry out
Asking the empty space
Where I went wrong.

Nothing ever answers back
Nothing but my returning sorrow.
